ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Following the Buffalo Bills’ narrow 9-3 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers in week two of the preseason, the Bills Mafia Babes rallied for a charitable cause.

The Bills Mafia Babes, a nonprofit organization connecting women passionate about the Buffalo Bills via Facebook, hosted a fundraising event at Tin Cup Social in Fairport on Sunday. The group, which launched its annual meetups last year, uses these gatherings to support various charities.

Suzanne Halberstadt, co-coordinator of the Rochester chapter, emphasized the impact of the organization, noting, “There’s been relationships built, there’s been education in football – everything.”

This month, the group focused on supporting BestSelf Behavioral Health, a nonprofit that recently formed a partnership with the Buffalo Bills. Co-coordinator Jeanna Ross highlighted the significance of this collaboration, stating, “This month we’re supporting BestSelf Behavioral Health, which just recently partnered with the Buffalo Bills.”

The event featured a lively atmosphere with a DJ, trivia games, and food and drinks. Attendees also had the opportunity to participate in raffles, with prizes including a signed Dawson Knox jersey donated by M&T Bank. Suzanna Prong, a member of the Bills Mafia Babes, praised the effort, saying, “Our raffle teams worked hard, and M&T Bank gave us a nice, signed Dawson Knox jersey.”

The Bills Mafia Babes have been instrumental in bringing together women with a shared interest in football, particularly those whose partners may not share their enthusiasm. “It’s a great place to find people who like to do the things we like to do in the football season,” Ross explained.

Last year’s national meetup raised over $9,000 for Dion’s Dreamers, the foundation of Bills star Dion Dawkins, demonstrating the group’s commitment to charitable causes.
