State Representative Mike Harris, R-Waterford, has applauded a recent grant awarded to bolster youth mental health initiatives in Oakland County. The Michigan Association of Health Plans has provided a $2,500 Health Equity Grant to On A Dragonfly’s Wings, a Waterford-based nonprofit dedicated to enhancing mental health support and combating suicide by addressing the stigma surrounding mental health issues.

The grant will fund a week-long mental wellness camp aimed at students in fourth through ninth grades across Oakland County. The camp is designed to offer valuable resources and support for young individuals grappling with mental health challenges.
