What is the rarest myers briggs type

03/09/2023
in psychological test

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is a popular personality test that categorizes individuals into 16 different personality types. Each type is determined by four key traits: Extraversion/Introversion, Sensing/Intuition, Thinking/Feeling, and Judging/Perceiving. While all 16 types are relatively evenly distributed, some are rarer than others. In this article, we will explore what the rarest Myers-Briggs type is and why.

The rarest Myers-Briggs type is the INFJ, which stands for Introverted, Intuitive, Feeling, and Judging.

According to data collected by the Myers & Briggs Foundation, INFJs make up only 1-2% of the population. This means that out of every 100 people, only 1 or 2 will have this personality type.

So what makes the INFJ so rare? One reason is that they possess a unique set of characteristics that are not commonly found in other types. For example, INFJs are often described as deeply empathetic and intuitive, with a strong desire to help others. They tend to be sensitive and emotional, and they often have a strong sense of purpose or mission in life. INFJs also have a knack for understanding complex ideas and seeing the big picture, which makes them well-suited for careers in fields such as psychology, counseling, and social work.

Another reason that INFJs are so rare is that they can be difficult to categorize. While they are often classified as introverts, they also have a strong desire for social connection and meaningful relationships. They can also be hard to read, as they tend to keep their thoughts and emotions closely guarded. This can make it challenging for others to understand them or to connect with them on a deep level.

Despite their rarity, INFJs have much to offer the world. Their unique combination of intuition, empathy, and vision can make them powerful agents of change and transformation. If you are lucky enough to know an INFJ, consider yourself fortunate, as they are truly a rare and special breed.
