ENFIELD, UK — Enfield residents now have access to free, anonymous, and personalised mental health support through Qwell, a digital platform designed to provide 24/7 mental wellbeing resources. This service is available to all adults, including parents and carers over the age of 18, offering immediate and confidential support for mental health needs.

Qwell users can access a variety of services, including one-to-one, text-based live chats with qualified mental health professionals. These counselling sessions are available on weekdays from midday to 10 pm and weekends from 6 pm to 10 pm. The platform also features a supportive community space, with peer support forums and a self-help toolkit to help individuals manage their mental health and wellbeing.

Cllr Abdul Abdullahi, responsible for children’s services, emphasized the importance of this service for the community: “We want residents in our borough to have 24/7 access to mental health services without any delays.”

There are no eligibility requirements or referral processes to access Qwell, ensuring that anyone in need can seek help at any time. Dr. Lynne Green, Chief Clinical Officer at Kooth, the organization behind Qwell, explained: “Qwell ensures that people across Enfield will have access to anonymous, safe, and effective mental health care and support around the clock and at their fingertips.”

Qwell is part of Enfield Council’s Start for Life initiative, funded by the Department of Education. However, it is important to note that while Qwell offers valuable mental health support, it is not a crisis service.
