Two prominent organizations in the realm of social services and mental health care, Bethany for Children & Families of the greater Quad Cities Area and Bridgeview Community Health Center of Clinton, Iowa, have joined forces with the aim of delivering mission-driven, high-quality, and compassionate care to those in need. This merger, detailed in a media release from Bethany for Children & Families, marks a strategic move to enhance their services.
The media release explains that following extensive meetings and months of collaboration to determine the best approach for serving their communities, the merger establishes a management agreement between Bethany and Bridgeview. This unification of staff is mutually beneficial, creating economies of scale and synergy that will positively impact both organizations and their clients.
The corporate structure of both organizations will be maintained, with oversight provided by a unified Board of Directors. This merger coincides with the retirement of Bridgeview’s Executive Director, Paul Blair, who served for over 25 years. Bill Steinhauser, President and CEO of Bethany for Children & Families, will take on leadership responsibilities for both organizations.
Bridgeview Community Mental Health Center, situated at 1320 19th Avenue NW in Clinton, Iowa, employs 34 individuals and operates with an annual budget of $3.2 million, according to the media release. Meanwhile, Bethany for Children & Families, headquartered at 1701 River Drive in Moline, boasts a dedicated staff of 90 social workers, licensed therapists, educators, licensed case managers, as well as Human Resources, business, and support staff. The annual budget for Bethany for Children & Families stands at $9.6 million.
