10 Unspoken Workplace Rules You Should Know about Workplace Psychology

The water in the workplace is very deep, especially in some large companies, not only competition is very fierce, but also there are some unknown hidden rules.

So, what are the unspoken rules of the workplace?

Rule number one: There must be a circle.

No matter how to do is to draw a prison: do not join a circle, become the enemy of everyone;

If you join one circle, you become the enemy of another.

If you join two circles, you join none.

Only the elite, desperate to fail, can completely avoid the circle — usually there is only one circle in which the boss stands.

Number two must strive to be number two.

Ranking is proportional to the number of people who help you — if you are first, you will become second for lack of help;

Second place is always a good place to be. Its disadvantage is that it can never be the first place.

Third, the definition of duty must be understood.

Duty is the work you have to do, but the law of office survival is that duty is everything you do outside of the work you have to do.

Rule four: You must attend every meal.

If you attend, your speech at the dinner party will become gossip;

If you don’t, your gossip will turn into dinner speech.

Fifth, you must understand the Eight gossip theorem.

Become close friends with more than one colleague and all your flaws and secrets will be made public in the office.

Become close friends with less than one of your coworkers and everyone will be interested in your flaws and privacy.

Number six must understand that working overtime is an art.

If you work during office hours, you will be considered not diligent enough for not working overtime.

If you don’t work during office hours, you will be considered inefficient and have to work overtime.

Article 7 One must be skilled in the means of receiving criticism.

In the face of the boss’s judgment that you are right, you lack the ability to understand the problem;

Think that you are wrong and that you are incapable of solving the problem — the best way to accept a mistake is to avoid talking about it.

And finally, don’t talk to your boss about justice.

The eighth must understand the meaning of “rarely confused”.

Muddle-headed let you be considered to have no mind, not muddle-headed let you be considered to be difficult to get along with – “rare muddle-headed” lies in the timing of muddle-headed, when to be muddle-headed depends on your degree of not muddle-headed.

Article 9 must understand that collectivism is a choice.

If you don’t support the majority’s decision, the idea will not be approved.

If you support the decision of the majority, you will reduce your chances of promotion — the competent person will always be on the wrong side of the group.

Article 10. Seniority must be considered.

If you do not acknowledge the senior, the senior will not give you the opportunity to promote;

If you acknowledge your predecessors, you won’t be promoted until they are promoted — the whole purpose of seniority is to prepare you for the day when you are first in line.

Sometimes we find that the IQ of some company leaders is not very high, while the IQ of their employees is very high. We are surprised by such a big contrast. Why can’t people with high IQ get higher, but people with low IQ get higher easily?

In large companies, there is an unspoken rule that intelligence rankings must be prohibited.
