Sign up for two classes to cultivate children’s hands-on and creativity

Interest classes, as the name suggests, are classes that make children excited, interested, and bring them joy. Feng Guoqiang, deputy secretary general of the Children’s Brain Potential Development Professional Committee of the China Eugenics and Prenatal Education Association, told the “Life Times” reporter that there are three main categories of interest classes: art, technology, and sports. It mainly includes five types of skills: music education, including learning musical instruments, physical dance, vocal singing, etc.; sports education, such as roller skating, swimming, kicking, and playing ball; art education, including painting, etc.; language education, Such as eloquence training, learning a second language, etc.; as well as creativity and logic training, such as Go and model aircraft. Feng Guoqiang pointed out that when choosing an interest class, the first thing to look at is whether the child is interested, especially in the sensitive period of the child, parents should intentionally observe the child, and in the future, they can choose their hobbies in a targeted manner. For example, 3-4 years old is a sensitive period for color and language. Children begin to look for different colors in their lives, develop language acuity, imitate adult speech, and like to keep asking why. 4-5 years old are in the sensitive period of mathematical logic and musical intelligence. 5-6 years old is a sensitive period for language and natural intelligence, the ability of mathematics and logic improves, and the ability to do hands-on is enhanced. “

Secondly, the selection should follow the principle of “strengthening one’s strengths to make up for one’s weaknesses”. Shao Ying, director of kindergarten care and education of the Ministry of Commerce and director of the Beijing Montessori Education Technology Center, pointed out that children who are mediocre in all aspects and whose interests are not obvious, parents can choose according to their personality defects. For example, some timid children with poor expression ability can guide them to cultivate their interest in recitation and roller skating, so as to enhance their expression ability and exercise their courage. To grow up is to further develop the child’s strengths and advantages. Lastly, don’t be greedy when applying for classes. Shao Ying said that if you choose one that requires fine movements, you can match it with one that focuses on movement. For example, roller skating, martial arts, taekwondo, and dancing all require physical participation; painting, handicraft, reading, and natural observation are relatively quiet. Choose one of them, which is more conducive to the growth of the child.
